Cultural workshop since 2013
London Yu-Hua Chinese School built up cultural tour workshop project to introduced and promoted Chinese culture to the public. The project aims to raise awareness of Chinese culture value, and emphasize the implication and importance of practise in Chinese Culture. We target the age between 3 and 8 years old children and their family, deliver and promote Children Calligraphy, Puppet Making, Artwork, Origami, Paper Cutting and Creative Painting education. The project was directed by Lu-yu Huang and designed by Hsin-Yu Wu in 2013, started from Central London.
We held children calligraphy workshop in local libraries in central London, taught children how to wrote calligraphy during Chinese New Year.
We held children paper arts workshop to taught children how to make their paper art piece such as Chinese lantern, Chinese style candy box and Chinese greeting Cards.
We held puppet making workshop to taught participants how to make their favorite puppet in few step, how to control puppet in the right move and how to design attract story to catch public attention.
We held Chinese Origami workshop to develop children handmade capability in accuracy. The workshop taught children to make paper dumpling, paper cranes and paper boat.
We held creative painting workshop to develop children's creativity and flexibility, help children to realize themselves and appreciate for their own aesthetic capability. We open the painting topics or sometimes limit topics to inspire children to create their own edition of painting in their mind.
